Delta Burke has reportedly checked herself into a psychiatric ward for “depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and hoarding.” The Orlando born Burke started competing in pageants at an early age and even got the title of Miss Florida. She has been a student of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She has done a number of roles and became a household name after playing the character of Suzanne Sugarbaker in ‘Designing Women’.
Being overweight, she has struggled with the problem from a long time. However, if that is the cause of her depression, is not clear. She has rather used her being oversized for advantage of her clothing line and her book Delta Style: Eve Wasn’t a Size 6 and Neither Am I. She also deals with the various facets of the same. Hope she gets over it soon!
